From Unemployment to a Successful Business

In 1991, I faced the unenviable position of being over 40 years old, overeducated, and unemployed. With over 400 resumes going unanswered, I needed to find a way to reinvent myself. Fortunately, with a few rental properties in my portfolio, I decided to start with what was right under my nose and do home repairs.

Within two years, not only was I enjoying myself far more than my prior jobs, I had surpassed my previous annual income. The decision was made to create Doug Airey Home Care, and 27 years later, I’m still enjoying my career switch.
