Professional Focus
Paul Sackett found his path as a fractional HR leader after three decades of helping companies grow, transform, and build better workplaces. Today, he runs YourHR, a business he founded to provide small and mid-sized organizations with embedded HR leadership—someone who’s not just consulting from the outside, but sitting at the leadership table helping solve real challenges. Paul partners with business owners to deliver strategic and practical HR support without the overhead of a full-time hire. That means he’s not just handling policies and processes—he’s working alongside leaders to:
- Build HR strategies that align with business goals
- Coach and develop managers to lead more effectively
- Solve complex employee relations issues with compassion and clarity
- Improve hiring, retention, and onboarding practices
- Prepare organizations for growth, transition, or succession
- And more
Whether it’s workforce planning, compliance, culture, or conflict—Paul brings deep experience and a steady hand to help businesses do HR right.
Background & Qualifications
Paul brings over 30 years of experience in human resources, having served in senior HR leadership roles across industries—from manufacturing to biotech to distribution. Before launching YourHR, he was Global VP of HR for Corbion, where he led HR strategy for a $900M multinational business. Earlier in his career, Paul held HR roles with Bimbo Bakeries, DuPont, General Electric, and others, where he led initiatives in organizational development, union negotiations, leadership training, and more.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from Northwest Missouri State University and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources by SHRM. Paul’s approach blends strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on style that’s earned the trust of business owners and leadership teams across the region.
When he’s not solving people challenges or helping clients scale their businesses, Paul enjoys time with family and friends, KC sports, and live music. Based in Kansas City, he’s just as comfortable in a boardroom as he is grilling at a pool party or lending a hand to a neighbor.
