Since 1986 when he and his brother Bruce opened their store, a Goodheart has been a member of Prospectors. Alan has served as Secretary for 20 plus years, and is the glue that keeps members informed on meetings, events, and communicating both good news and bad. He helps without asking and places the concern for others before himself. He truly emulates what a true Prospector should be.

On May 18th 2017, word started circulating that something tragic had happened to our great friend, Mike Darby. We soon found out we had lost Mike to a tragic and senseless crime.
Mike was a unifying force for a greater good. He started his own charity, The Tour De Hope, with fellow Prospector, Keith Steiniger. Mike also always made things fun, no matter who was involved! Mike’s selfless approach, along with his ability to unite his fellow Prospectors to better serve those in need, inspire us all to “Live Like Mike!”

We wondered how to best honor Mike. With the guidance and support of the 2017 and 2018 Prospectors Board and some of Mike’s closest friends, we are honored to announce that Mike Darby becomes our inaugural recipient of The Mike Darby Prospector of the Year Award and hope it will remind us all how to be a great Prospector!
