My Career Path

After graduating from Kansas State University, I started my career in the hospitality industry which taught me great customer service, communication skills, and problem-solving skills. I soon developed an interest in real estate but came across challenges with financing.  This led me to enter the mortgage industry, first in customer service, then in underwriting and origination.  In 1997, confident with the experience I had, I started my own mortgage company, Millcreek Home Loans in Shawnee, Kansas.

While I ended that business in 2009 after changes in the mortgage industry, today I am able to offer the same honesty, value, and service to my clients as a senior mortgage consultant for First National Bank.   My time with Millcreek Home Loans helped me establish a strong reputation in the community for putting my clients best interests above all else, as a trusted adviser in the real estate field.

My Professional Approach

I am known for being straight forward and dealing with situations as soon as possible in the process. I very much enjoy the logic, problem solving, and straight forward math of the industry.

I have been an active member of the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce and I serve as an Ambassador.  I am an active member of ABWA Express Network, Team in Training for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, and the Kansas City Ski Club.    I stay busy with my family and I am helping raise two grandchildren.
