With almost 50 years in the travel industry and owning my own retail travel agency for over half of that time, my last 13 years were spent at MTI Events, Inc, managing the travel department and coordinating events for group travelers. The COVID Pandemic affected their group departures to the point that I retired. It is good to hear that their business is starting a revival and hopefully within the next year or so, they should be managing all sizes of groups again.
During my time as a travel agent, I was lucky enough to visit more than 130 countries, island nations, and small monarchies, etc. I also was able to travel to 6 of the 7 continents. I hope to continue traveling again in the future. While many travel the world, but do not see the United States, I have also traveled extensively having visited 48 states, missing only Rhode Island and Delaware. Hopefully, I will see those states within the next few years.
I have been an active member of Prospectors Club since 1985 and have now been awarded a Lifetime Membership from the Board of Officers. By being a member I have made friendships that have lasted over 30 years. During that time I have referred business to almost all members and have also received referrals from other members in the club. I have had opportunities to serve on the board quite a few times and those have been rewarding experiences. I am proud to have been voted Prospector of the Year in 1991. I was very appreciative of the recognition of being awarded Lifetime Member in 2022 and would be happy to answer any questions that you might have if you are considering membership.
