A “Grade A” Business From a Harsh Snowstorm
In 1996, a brutal snowstorm, from thereon known as “The October Surprise,” struck Kansas City, necessitating a large volume of line clearance tree trimming. Although I had worked in the field for the previous decade and a half, having started at KCPL and becoming president and lead negotiator for the IBEW union, I knew this storm required an unusual level of commitment, responsiveness, and dedication. The following months spent clearing out the area of fallen trees eventually led to the creation of my current company, Grade A Tree.

Over the past two decades, I have had the good fortune to surround myself with people smarter than me, give back to the community, and continue to grow Grade A Tree. We had the honor of purchasing a highly reputable competitor as the founder went into retirement, continuing to grow our brand and our service of the greater Kansas City area. We continue to strive to take care of our customers first and foremost, serve our community, and provide the best service possible.
